Unxpected Saturday: Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay (non-member)

Depart Paris for Les Yvelines to reach the Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay, located some forty kilometers south-west of the capital in the Rambouillet forest in the Chevreuse valley.  

We'll discover how this magnificent 12th century Cistercian abbey was transformed by the Paris Society into a luxury hotel with 2 bars and 4 restaurants: The Huntsthe chicest restaurant offering traditional French cuisine in the former hunting lodge of the Rothschild family, The Monks' Refectory offering a spectacular setting for brunch under majestic vaulted ceilings, L'Auberge to share convivial cuisine in a lively atmosphere, and La Trattoria for a generous, gourmet trip to Italy in a traditional tavern.

Headed by Laurent de Gourcuff, the trendy Paris Society group is responsible for such Parisian addresses as Apicius, le Mun, le Girafe and Perruche, as well as Maison Revka in Saint-Tropez and Piaf in Megève and Courchevel.

09:30 to 10:00: Meeting place to be announced after registration

10:00 am to 12:30 pm: stroll around Montfort L'Amaury in Western Paris

12:30 to 3:00 pm: brunch at the Vaux de Cernay abbey

3:00 pm to 5:00 pm: activities at the Vaux de Cernay abbey, weather permitting (pétanque, croquet, video games room, boat trip, film projection...).

Participants: 20 people max, 2 people per car (Porsche only)
